Morning Meditation

Good Morning and Happy Thursday!
From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. Ephesians 4:16 (NIV)

God’s Laborers

In the darkness of night, the king’s cupbearer came alone to examine what he heard about the wall surrounding Jerusalem. Sadly, as he examined each gate, what he had heard was made painfully obvious.”It is true!” he says to himself. “The Jerusalem wall is utterly broken and its gates burned with fire”. Rather than succumbing to depression, the cupbearer assembled the Jews, priests, nobles, officials and many others who would be involved in the building of the wall. They were assigned specific sections of the wall along with the gates that needed to be rebuilt. The laborers worked with all their heart and the wall was rebuilt successfully. (Nehemiah 1-6)
The successful completion of the rebuilding of Jerusalem’s devastated wall is a lesson in organization and the power of collective effort. Everyone involved with this project took their task seriously and added to the success of the project. No one’s role was too small or too big.
And so it is with the body of Christ where God assigns a specific role for each one of us. We are all different vessels but we are made to serve the same God. (Jeremiah 18:6)
No role is too small or too big for God’s use in building His church.
