Good Morning and Happy Wednesday!

In his right hand He held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance. Revelation 1:16 (NIV)

The Radiance of God

Scripture Reading: Exodus 33&34
Moses came down the mountain and all who saw his face knew that Moses had stood in very presence of God. Indeed, the Lord God had passed in front of Moses. And as He did, He proclaimed His wonderful attributes as only He could have. He announced that He was a wonderfully compassionate God who was abounding in love and very forgiving. Not since the creation of man had the Lord passed before a mortal man and spoken with the man as He did with Moses. With this divine encounter, Moses’ face became so radiant that those who saw him were afraid to come near him. Moses had to place a veil over his face to contain the remnant of the radiance that was left after an interaction with the Holiness of God.
If this intense radiance is what is left on the face of a prophet such as Moses after meeting God, I can’t imagine the radiance that is the very face of God.
What an awesome God we serve. He is beautiful and kind beyond description and without comparison!
