We are now reading the Book of 1st John
This is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5 (NIV)
Got a Light?

Scripture Reading:Genesis 1:1-3
I was walking in near total darkness. I was in an enclosed area, walking up a flight of stairs to check on a friend during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. I had to concentrate on where I would place my next step. I didn’t know where was the end of the stairs. The darkness was such that I couldn’t see my hand in front of my face. I felt as if I was dismembered. It was such an eerie feeling not to be able to see anything, yet having the full function of my eyes. Without light, there is no reassurance of who we are or where we are going.
There was a period when darkness reigned over all of creation. And the Almighty stepped into the darkness and said “let there be light.” And there was light. He then separated light from darkness.
Jesus said that He is the light of the world who gives reassurance, direction, wisdom, and a sense of identity to every person who believes in Him.
If you can’t see the things before you or around you, ask the Lord to shine His light on you. He is a lamp unto our feet and a light onto our path.
