Morning Meditation

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday!
We will continue our Bible reading with the book of Philippians using the suggested plan outlined in Tim LaHaye’s book How To Study The Bible For Yourself.

I thank my God every time I remember you.
Philippians 1:3 (NIV) Corrected

Thoughts and Prayers

While in Haiti, I spent some very precious moments with my goddaughter’s mother, sharing intimate memories of our respected family members who have since moved on to eternity. Each special memory was accompanied by a smile or a tearing of the eyes that was a result of the impact that life had on our lives. And we were comforted by the strong legacy that was instilled in us by lives well lived.
Paul also had strong emotions well up within his heart as he considered God’s holy people in Philippi. (Philippians 1:8)
Although he wrote this epistle while confined to chains in a prison cell, his heart and mind were free to come together in thanksgiving for the relationship he had established with the Philippians. This resulted in a powerful selfless prayer for the spiritual well-being of the Philippians.
(Philippians 1:9-11)
When your heart brings you to remember a beloved, pray a blessing over them. If Paul could do this while confined to a prison cell and apart from those he held close to his heart, we can certainly do no less while we have our precious ones near.
Praying for our loved ones will make all the difference as far as the legacy we leave with them.
Be encouraged!
